Schedule for OPNET software calss:
| Schedule | Topic | Description | | First Session | Opnet Introduction and Installation | The objective of this session is for the installation of OPNET IT Guru Software and a brief introduction to OPNET. | | Second Session | Ethernet | This lab is designed to demonstrate the operation of the Ethernet network. The simulation in this lab will help you examine the rformance of the Ethernet network under different scenarios. | | Third Session | RIP | The objective of this lab is to configure and analyze the performance of the Routing Information Protocol (RIP) model. | | Fourth Session | TCP | This lab is designed to demonstrate the congestion control algorithms implemented by the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). The lab provides a number of scenarios to simulate these algorithms. You will compare the performance of the algorithms through the analysis of the simulation results. | | Fifth Session | Queuing Disciplines | The objective of this lab is to examine the effect of different queuing
disciplines on packet delivery and delay for different services. |
The exact time of Extra Classes will be given later.
Students are required to bring their laptops with them. |
