Please use this guideline for selection of your programs in Software Testing course:
1. First program should be a small program, with a few major methods (or functions) which have approximately heavy and complex behavior.
2. Second program should be a larger program. It should be composed of a few modules (e.g. classes) with a lot of operations (methods) that communicate together. A component of an application can be selected as second program too.
3. Third program can be a complete but not a large program. It may be a small program with GUI or command line interface or it may be component.
4. Do not select transaction-only programs, which only store and retrieve data in a database. All programs should have enough business logic that makes them nontrivial.
5. For all programs, it is recommended to select java program. Otherwise, you may have problems in finding appropriate tools for the assignments ("Code Coverage", "Mutator" , "Unit testing tools", etc).
6. You should have source code of your selected programs.
7. For all programs, send us the followings:
- Title of the program
- Short description (max 5 lines)
- Source code (only source files, not others)
- Lines of Code and Cyclomatic Complexity of each module and method. Results of Cyclomatic Complexity measurement on the source codes. (you can use JavaNCSS or CyVis for java programs)
