Concept Formation through Pattern Recognition
(PhD Dissertation):
-
This
is my PHD thesis and therefore main stem of most other current projects. My
main target is to create a system which would be able to mine concepts out of
the patterns it recognizes in a domain and a hierarchical representation of
the learned patterns using the concepts that system has discovered. This may
lead in faster learning of further patterns and storage of learnt patterns
with less data. This project is done under supervisorship
of Dr. Saeed Bagheri
Shouraki.

Speech Recognition (Goftar
Project):
-
I
have some speech recognition projects. The projects begun with my new fuzzy
modeling of phonemes which resulted in a phoneme recognition system, well
robust to noise. We are now working on expanding the system to words and then
building a concept miner pattern recognition system over this.

Persian (Cursive) Handwriting Recognition (Neveshtar Project):
-
Persian
is written using a fully cursive hand writing in which letters are written in
different forms based on their positions in the word, stick together, and
sometimes overlap. Our recognition system is based on fuzzy modeling online
inputs and then recognition of patterns using a fuzzy elastic pattern
matching system.

Symbiogenetic Evolutionary Algorithm:

This a novel
evolutionary algorithm whose main feature is insensitivity to genome
structure.
